Taking a stand at Findhorn Bay Festival
Neon chard, rainbow veg boxes and a cheeky aubergine were the magnets at the Cullerne Gardens stall at the Culture Day, part of the Findhorn Bay Festival.

We surely won the prize for the most colourful stall in Grant Park on Saturday (26 September), part of the Findhorn Bay Festival’s Culture Day, centred in Forres.
Our veg boxes were works of art (thank you Mark Crockett!), and visitors could sign up for great deals – 20% off for the rest of the season, or 2027’s season at this year’s price.
Fasil Bogale, Carolin Waldmann, Adelle Horler and Petal the dog represented Cullerne Gardens, but arguably the star of the show was our heroic aubergine – yet to be named.
Suggestions from passersby ranged from odd (Bertram-with-a-purple-parting; Nosey Bonk; Auby McAuby) to strong and steady (Steve, Jim, Shy George, Audrey), to the more elevated Aphrodite and Artemis.
But the front runner is probably Aubie-Wan Kenaubie, suggested by Willow Bogale. No prizes, just endless awe and respect. 👏😁
If you’d like to sign up for the rest of the 2026 season – our last veg boxes are likely to go out the first week of December – or to get fresh veg each week for the 2027 season, please be in touch: hello@cullernegardens.uk
